Dr. Kivisto studied Human Kinetics at the University of Windsor and graduated with Dean’s List status in 2010. She has always had a passion for health and wellness which lead her to continue her education at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario where she graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic 4 years later in 2014. During her time in Toronto, Dr. Kivisto became a certified Yoga Instructor (YTT-250hrs) through YogaTree studios, where she studied teaching philosophy based on three disciplinary lineages – classical hatha, ashtanga and hot yoga. In addition she is a Functional Range Conditioning Specialist (FRCS) and is also trained in Graston.
Treatments with Dr. Kivisto incorporate spinal manipulative therapy, soft tissue and instrument assisted soft tissue therapy, rehabilitative strengthening exercises and stress reducing breathing techniques.
In her spare time, Dr. Kivisto enjoys staying active by teaching yoga and fitness classes, keeping a regular yoga practice, running and staying as active as possible. She is excited to serve the people of Windsor – Essex County!
Dr. Kivisto is registered with the College of Chiropractors of Ontario, is a member of the Ontario Chiropractic Association and the Canadian Chiropractic Association.
